Movie Review: The Great Gatsby

Today I was able to go out and see The Great Gatsby. The beginning of the movie started good but then in my opinion the camera movements and shots started to hurt my eyes a little. About twenty minutes in though the film started to go smoothly and was very enjoyable after. The cast was very good Leonardo DiCaprio was the perfect Gatsby. I feel he had great chemistry with Tobey Maguire who played the part of Nick Carraway.

Overall this film was very good and I really enjoyed not knowing what was going to happen next. Joel Edgerton played Tom Buchanan also was perfectly cast, and Carey Mulligan did great as Daisy Buchanan. I don't recall Mulligan in any other films but she did great. I personally liked the 1920's New York style. However, one little complaint I have was there were parts where they played current music during a 1920's themed movie. I would have wanted music from the time period, there was some in parts. Some nice special effects throughout the movie.
